Some of the places where visitors can see fireflies are: Pingding historical canal （Pingdeng village）, Erziping trail and the Zhuzihu area. Adult fireflies appear for only a short length of time and the time which different species appear varies. If visitors did not manage to catch a glimpse before mid-May, Park Headquarters suggests that all visitors visit the above places from the end of October to early November to look for fireflies.
