Starting from October 1, 2017, Yangmingshan National Park will charge fees for guided tours.

Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters has established a user pays principle, which will help to provide environmental education and improve service quality. Also, the park has formulated the "Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters Standards for Guided Tour Fees." Starting from October 1, 2017, the park will charge a fee for a guided tour of any of the seven tour routes. Originally, the park provided five guided tour routes which featured some of the park's natural scenery and cultural resources: Jinbaoli Trail (Yulu Historical Trail), Lengshuikeng- Qingtiangang Pedestrian Trail Erziping Trail, Yangming Park Trail, and the trail starting from the Visitor Center and passing through Siaoyoukeng and Yangmingshuwu. In order to promote environmental education and expand on our services, Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters has added two new tour routes: Zhuzihu Trail and Juansi Waterfall Trail. Tours are available daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters provides tours in three languages, Chinese, English, and Japanese, to fulfill the needs of our visitors. The Headquarters has declared that in order to improve the quality of its guided tours and environmental education, each tour group is limited to twenty people. The fee for a domestic (Taiwanese nationality) group is NT$1,500; the fee for a foreign (non-Taiwanese nationality) group is NT$2,000; and the fee for a public or private school group of any grade level is NT$1,000 (cram schools, daycare centers, and community colleges not included). Considering the environmental carrying capacity of Yangmingshan National Park, the Headquarters has limited the maximum number of guided tour participants to 120 per day. For tour groups of more than twenty people, the Headquarters will assign one additional tour guide to ensure a consistent level of service quality. One half of the tour fee will be charged for every 10 people that exceeds the maximum number of twenty. Guided tours are arranged by reservation only. An application form need to be sent by fax to our number 02-2861-1504 during office hours at least 14 days in advance: (the Headquarters will process the application based on the date received at our office. Please confirm your reservation to us by calling 02-2861-3601); or send your application by email to: yms08@mail.ymsnp.gov.tw . Details about fee standards are available on the official Yangmingshan National Park website (www.ymsnp.gov.tw).
