The Datun Volcano Groups, situated at the northernmost end of Taiwan, have the most visible volcanic activities out of the variety of landscapes in Yangmingshan National Park. It is also the only area in Taiwan where active volcano geological features can be found. The height of the volcano group in the Park areheight of the volcano group in the Park is between 600 to 1,120 meters, with Mt. Qixing being the tallest peak. Xiaoyoukeng Recreation Area, situated at the northwest foothills, is a "living classroom" for studying geology and is the perfect location for viewing geothermal activities such as surface hot springs and fumaroles sulfur jets. The area attracts many local and international visitors every year. The Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters has organized special guided hiking tours in order to help people learn more about volcano formations and geothermal landscapes. In addition to hiking in and around Mt. Qixing, our park guides will be on hand to give detailed but easy-to-understand talks based on their professional knowledge so that all participants can enjoy an in-depth Volcano Tour! The Park will begin taking online registration forms for the Volcano Tour starting at 09:00 on 10 April. A registration fee of NT700 per person is required. Each group is open to 50 people （space is subject to availability）. The event will take place in two groups, one on 25 April （Saturday） and one on 1 May （Friday）.
