Yangmingshan National Park Open for Lunar New Year (closed Lunar New Year’s Eve). All Services Will Be Available
The Yangmingshan National Park welcomes tourists to come enjoy the flowers on the mountain during Lunar New Year season to welcome the coming new year.
The 2014 Lunar New Year holiday will be from January 30th to February 4th, a 6 day holiday. Because the beautiful Yangmingshan National Park scenery is the best choice for people to relax, a large number of tourists visit during holidays. To provide a better tourist environment, safer tourist quality, and a convenient transportation environment, Yangmingshan National Park will work together with the Taipei City Government Department of Transportation to incorporate traffic control measures, and the Park asks that tourists try to take public transportation when visiting the mountain as much as possible to reduce congestion.
To better serve tourists and provide the public with a recreational area during Lunar New Year, the Yangmingshan National Park Visitor Center will be providing services over the new year with the exception of January 30th (Lunar New Year's Eve). The Headquarters Visitor Center will be open from 8:30AM to 4:30PM, and other visitor centers will be open from 9AM to 4:30PM.
Starting in January 2014, in addition to the Park’s original videos (Fall in Love with Yangmingshan, The Four Season, The Story of the Datun Volcano Group and Encounter with the Insects-in Yangmingshan national Park), the Headquarters Visitor Center will also begin broadcasting a video produced in 2013 called Zhuzihu Past and Present, available in both Chinese and English. All are welcome to visit the Visitor Center's audio visual room during Lunar New Year to enjoy these informative, fun videos.
