With the advent of the hot summer and the summer vacation, there are more and more drowning accidents happened in dangerous areas. We solemnly inform tourists not to paddle and roast in or near Neishuang River, lest the occurrence of drowning accidents.

The upper reach of Neishuang River is located within the range of the Park. Due to the ups and downs of the river course, eddies hide in the water area with peaceful water surface. Particularly, due to the wetness and slipperiness of the huge rocks above the river bed, one’s hands and feet may be jammed in the gaps among rocks when one falls down by accident and danger may be induced. In addition, thunder shower usually teems down in the afternoons in summer and flash flood may break out in minutes with river water outpouring. So if one plays on the river bed, he/she has no time to dodge and escape.

There were once several drowning accidents and accidents that tourists died from falling off the rock in this area. We have classified this area as a potentially dangerous area and set warning boards and palings here to prohibit tourists from entering. We will cooperate with the police of Yangmingshan National Park to reinforce the work of patrol and clampdown. If it is found that tourists enter into this area illegally, they will be fined a highest NTD15,000 according to the regulations of the National Park Law. Tourists should have no fluke mind lest they be fined or suffer from tragedy. We request all tourists to paddle in legal swimming pools or paddling areas with lifeguards, so that all tourists can enjoy the summer happily and safely.
