In order to provide the public with a chance to experience the park's diversity, Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters is hosting the "Yangmingshan Bicycle Festival" annually on the Saturday before International Car Free Day. The park hope the event will encourage visitors to visit the park on bicycle, a responsible and ecological sustainable way to save energy and reduce carbon emissions.

This year's Bicycle Festival will be held on September 15 in the Qingcun parking lot of Yangmingshan's Chung-san Hall. On the day of the event, not only will there be a Yangmingshan agricultural product fair （no registration or admissions acquired）, there will be a challenge-yourself bicycle event! As in the past, Yangmingshan National Park Headquarters has planned a 66 km, more challenging route which is limited to 2,000 persons. The registration fee is NT$ 400 and everyone is welcome to participate. However please be advised that for safety reasons, participation in bicycle riding activities are only limited to those 15 years or older. A signed form with the consent of a parent or guardian is required for those between 15 and 18 years old to participate. The park apologize for the inconvenience.
