Five tiers of events were held separately on May 11, 21, 25, 27, and 28, and the teachers and students of the elementary schools of Sanhe Elementary （Jinshan Township）, Hutian Elementary （Beitou District）, Datun Elementary （Beitou District）, Hushan Elementary （Beitou District） and Xinghua Elementary （Sanzhi Township） were invited. In order to establish a good, working partnership and further promote ecological conservation, students of nearby schools were encouraged to learn more about the efforts of National Park staff. The events included visiting the visitor center, swearing the 'junior volunteer patrol' oath, receiving the 'junior volunteer patrol' activity manual, experiencing the fumaroles of Xiaoyoukeng, recognizing and exploring the Arrow Bamboo Forest, and practicing volunteer docent commentaries and guiding. Students visit the Menghuan Pond Ecological Protected Area and learn about the habitat conservation monitoring and maintenance project and help remove invasive plant species.
