The 34-year-old Lin Huang-bin (林煌斌), wearing a silver helmet and covering his face, remained silent when the victims family members demanded an apology from him at Taipei City Datong Police Bureau on Wednesday afternoon. Lin was hunched over, barely standing on his own, as he was escorted by the officers to a police car before being transferred to the Shilin Prosecutors office on Wednesday night.

The police said Lee denied that he was drunk when his car hit the bystanders, but admitted he was not in the best shape on Tuesday morning because he had been out all night playing video games the night before.
